Drupal was still fairly new, people were just learning about it, and there was a lot of buzz around it. Glenn: My first DrupalCon was in DC back in 2009. That shined through virtually and in person. Although I’ve only just experienced my second DrupalCon, I’m happy to see the Drupal Community continue to be welcoming. Some shared their experiences and intersectional challenges in paving a course for themselves at that event. This year, I joined the Women in Drupal luncheon. But once the session starts, you already have something in common, whether it be problem-solving or storytelling. There is an irreplaceable sense of camaraderie in collaborating at in-person events. But it was refreshing to meet some of my remote colleagues for the first time. The virtual conference provided accessible means for attending sessions and making connections. ![]() So when was the first time you visited a DrupalCon? Could you share what has changed about the event since then?Īmanda: This was my first in-person DrupalCon! My very first event was the virtual DrupalCon North America 2021. The Migration Assistant Space will be open on 27 th and 28 th April 2022 between 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm PST in Room B114-B115 and is open for all. This space will have a strong group of Migration Mentors that will help with troubleshooting, creating action plans, and answering questions related to migration. This training will take place on 25 th and 26 th April 2022, and you can register for it when purchasing your DrupalCon tickets. It will offer hands-on experience and provide a step-by-step guide through the process of migrating to Drupal 9.
